RNI The DJs Arrive CD
On the evening of the 24th of February 1970,
RNI DJ Roger Day was joined for the first time by
Andy Archer, Alan West and Carl Mitchell.
Each took a turn presenting the live test
programmes and this CD contains an
air checked recording of the evening
This recording was originally made
on a domestic tape recorder, using
a microphone hung in front of a radio
RNI's signal at the time suffered severe
morse code interference and whilst every
attempt has been made to restore the recording,
it is not of a very high standard
but the recording is offered because
of its historical content

RNI Election 1970 Programme Extracts CD
The British Government called a General Election for the 18th of June 1970, and on the 13th of June RNI changed its name to Radio Caroline and started urging listeners to vote Conservative.
This propaganda broadcast by the station is probably the most contraversial programming ever heard from an offshore radio station
Please note: All the recordings on this CDR contain the 'jamming' signal.
