The last programme to be broadcast from the Mi Amigo was 19th March 1980. The listeners at the time thought something was wrong, the numbers for their office and loss of regular programmes. Sadly it ended in tragedy as the ship began to sink & was finally abandoned, the following day the Mi Amigo sank in a fierce gale.
This recording is over an hour of the last broadcast from Caroline that day, until they left the air to man the lifeboats.
