RADIO LONDON with Tony Winsor
plus TW on Bi g L MP3 CD
Tony Winsor was truly one of the true Offshore Radio Greats; he started on the offshore scene with Radio Atlanta in 1964 using his real name Tony Withers. He then joined Radio London launching the station in December that year as Tony Winsor. He left Big L early in 1967 & joined the Better Music Station Radio 355 later that year as Programme Director. Tony sadly died in June 1985, aged 64.
This is a fascinating interview with TW in 1983 where he recalls his time in offshore broadcasting; he speaks of the many people, events & activities that he was involved with in his pirate days along with many good pirate radio audio clips.
Total running time approx 2 hours.
